Standard Vidie pattern movement, Negretti & Zambra 2nd pattern, driven from a single 1” nickel alloy capsule and tensioned on a coil spring. Decorated chassis, the verso struck “3.” Presented in a substantial semi barrel form ribbed case, pendant and bow, calibration port to verso. Later lacquered hardwood brass mounted desk or table stand.
Condition: The subject of a full service, conservation, and calibration under laboratory conditions. The barometer working very well, see performance chart. Generally very crisp, the dial undamaged, the brass case retaining virtually all its original lacquered finish. The bezel with index turning freely. The hardwood stand with a few marks, otherwise in very good condition.
Comments: A really good crisp example in way above average condition. Very much a collectors piece.
