The tubes with some external losses and patination. The mahogany case with side-mounted internal instrument release button, swinging catches with safeties, flush fitting fold out transport handle and identification plate, retaining most of its original French polished finish, minor marks and abrasions. Lock and original key.

All contained within original leather outer transport case, having shoulder strap and twin buckle fastenings. Large embossed maker’s cartouche to front detailing the ten gold medals awarded, maker’s address and instrument model.

Heath was a prolific maker in the 19th and going on to the 20th century. These instruments are by no means rare – however the condition and completeness of this one make it unusual and set it well aside from most others.

Certainly a collector’s piece.
