The whole contained within a lighter oak case carved with shell, scroll and floral themes. The verso with inset hanging plate, calibration port.

Condition: The subject of a full service, conservation, and calibration under laboratory conditions, see performance chart from dynamic test. The movement working exceptionally well with enhanced sensitivity and stepless progression.

The dial about perfect, some very faint ageing to periphery,. The timber case with good colour, some evidence of minor contraction.

Comments: Instruments such as this signed by John Browning are very seldom seen. Browning, known for his exceptional craftsmanship, is likely to be the finisher of this instrument, none the less finished to an exemplary standard as befits his reputation.

A very aesthetically pleasing, unusual and practical instrument, for the collector or connoisseur alike.
