A very attractive 9ct rose gold nautical theme double sided compass charm or fob c1900

Nautical theme 1″ diameter transparent compass watch fob or pendant having double-sided peripheral frosted yellow scales hand decorated with cardinals in red and intercardinals in black to one side, and in black to the other, open to the centre and enclosed by two glasses, yellow frosted reflector ring to both sides. Delicately set blue arrow with bearings in the upper and lower glass. The compass in a decorative ‘life buoy’ rose gold surround with bow set to corner.

The compass finding north though not easily. The glasses with a few very light surface marks not visible to the naked eye, the rose gold surround, unhallmarked but tested as 9ct, in generally very good antique condition, some marks commensurate with age and use.
