Antique Geryk vacuum pump of substantial construction and comprising fly wheel with operating  handle to crank, reciprocating connecting rod, rocking beam, multi  – chamber part oil filled vacuum cylinder with filler port, vacuum tube.

All set on a heavy cast iron base with maker’s plate marked “Geryk Vacuum Pump Ref No 0/12642, Pulsometer Engineering Co Ltd, London & Reading.”

Very evocative of steam engines and the industrial revolution, a machine that is more than just a curio, now restored to full working condition and capable of drawing a very good vacuum.

Great aesthetics and certainly useable, this Geryk vacuum pump is an early and scarce item. A collector’s piece.
