A very good quality ship’s clock having 7″ enamel dial with Roman chapter ring and steel hands containing much of original gilt finish; subsidiary dial showing seconds; winding square and slow-fast regulator. Substantial spun brass case and bezel with locking mechanism and contemporary key; case having rear flange with bulkhead fixing points. Winding key.
Good quality English 8-day timepiece movement with going barrel and platform escapement with large balance wheel.
A very handsome ship’s clock from the last quarter of the 19th century, the locking bezel a feature of better quality clocks. It has been fully serviced and overhauled, and is in good working order and condition.
